What is wool?
Wool is a natural fiber of animal origin used since Antiquity to make clothes. At Petit Bateau, only one wool is used: that of sheep's wool!
A winter favorite, wool is a material that breathes while warming us up. Known to protect us against the cold, wool also acts as a moisture barrier. Wool yarn can absorb up to a third of its weight in water without becoming wet to the touch and without losing its insulating power!
How is it knitted?
In our French factories and partners! We use traditional circular knitting machines to manufacture our famous wool & cotton body suits and T-shirts. At Petit Bateau, wool is often mixed with cotton, notably to make jumpers but also for cardigans.
