MANUFACTURER.
(NOUN)
At Petit Bateau, we're proud that manufacturing is in our blood, and this is at the heart of our production policy. We keep a close eye on all quality standards because we don't want to leave anything to chance.
We choose our threads, weave our knits on circular knitting machines and invent our own stitches.
And where a manufacturing stage isn't completed at our Troyes factory or our Moroccan assembly workshop? We turn to our partner manufacturers, with whom we have long-term, transparent relationships where trust is king.

LET'S AVOID PITFALLS TOGETHER!
People tend to think that clothes' origins have to be stated when they're imported or sold in the European Union. But this is wrong. At Petit Bateau, we have decided to tell you where our clothes come from, and are committed to going further in future. When a brand decides to do this, it's the country where the final production step takes place that should be stated. For clothes, this is the assembly stage where all the pieces are put together. So, a T-shirt developed on another continent, and with fabric dyed, woven, cut and decorated elsewhere, but finally assembled in France, could say it was Made in France. This isn't good enough for us. Which is why we're working hard on traceability. By 2023, we'll be able to add to our product information with all the places where the different stages of each piece's manufacturing process have taken place.
